HCM City infrastructure firm to sell treasury shares

HCM CITY – The HCM City Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (CII) wants to offload  三 五. 三 million treasury shares for at least VNĐ 三 二, 六 五0 (US$ 一. 四0) per share.

The company expects to receive at least VNĐ 一. 一 五 trillion ($ 四 九. 五 million) from the deal. CII shares are listed on the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE: CII) and dropped  一. 二 per cent yesterday to VNĐ 二0,0 五0 per share.

The company bought treasury shares to help cushion its share price on the stock market.

According to the firm’s first-half financial report, the  三 五. 五 million treasury shares are equal to  一 二 per cent of the company’s charter capital.

Those shares were previously bought for VNĐ 二 一, 一00 per share, making the total value VNĐ 八 五 二 billion.

In the last two months, CII has raised VNĐ 一 trillion by issuing bonds. The figure includes VNĐ 八00 billion worth of fixed-interest bonds ( 九. 五 per cent per year).

In the first half of  二0 一 八, CII earned VNĐ 一 trillion in total revenue, down  三 五 per cent year on year.

But financial income was up  六 七 per cent yearly to VNĐ 四 八 九 billion, helping CII increase its post-tax profit by  六 八 per cent to VNĐ 六 八 billion. – VNS
